Welcome to WentWest

WentWest is a unique organisation. As a Regional Training Provider (RTP) we offer the Australian General Practice Training program (AGPT) to General Practice registrars in the Western Sydney region. As a provider of Division of General Practice services we are able to offer education, support and networking activities to General Practice in our divisional area.

All of this, complemented by our close relationship with the Department of General Practice at the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney, makes WentWest the first, truly integrated provider to General Practice in Australia.

CHALLENGES FACED BY GENERAL PRACTICE IN THE DELIVERY OF PRIMARY CARE

WentWest appreciates the need for General Practice to receive communication from varied care providers to ensure patients receive comprehensive co-ordinated care. To assist GPs and practices with providing this care, WentWest is working across multiple providers to improve communication.

If you are not receiving adequate or appropriate communication about your patients' treatments such as: discharge summaries being illegible or not available, lack of updates on medication changes after hospital stay or no feedback from care providers you have referred patients to, WentWest is keen to hear from you so we can follow up on concerns and work towards improving communication with GPs and other care providers.
